Dr. Jack Clift is a program director at Results for Development. He currently oversees a portfolio of nutrition and health projects within R4D’s market shaping practice, leading analytic work on financing, regulatory, supply and demand issues in specific product markets, as well as supporting capacity strengthening for key government stakeholders in LMICs to shape critical product markets in their own countries.
Dr. Clift’s expertise cuts across R4D’s core areas of health, nutrition and education with a combination of non-profit and private-sector experience. Prior to joining R4D, he was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), working on a range of projects across the private and non-profit sectors, with a primary focus on market strategy for global biopharmaceutical firms. Previously, he spent six years at the RAND Corporation, an international nonprofit research organization, conducting research in health, education, labor, population, economics of aging, behavioral finance and the economic impact of global sporting mega-events, among others. He has also interned for a member of Congress and for a member of the European Parliament.
Dr. Clift received his PhD in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School, his master of public policy degree from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs and his BA in literae humaniores from the University of Oxford, UK.
