Rachel Huynh has experience developing diverse strategic recommendations across the public and private sectors.
As a senior program associate on R4D’s market shaping team, Ms. Huynh works alongside change agents to increase access to life-saving commodities by driving technical and programmatic analyses to correct market inefficiencies. She supports the Maternal, Child, and Neonatal Health (MNCH) project to improve access to health commodities in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the Strengthening Systems for the Treatment of Acute Malnutrition (SSTAM) project to assess market barriers inhibiting access to acute malnutrition treatment.
Before joining R4D, Ms. Huynh worked at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a consultant based in Dallas, Texas. At BCG, she drove analytical workstreams on various strategy and operations engagements for diverse private and public sector clients. Examples of a few engagements include an operational model transformation for a national telecommunications company, risk quantification and management for a regional utility, and organizational and process design for an international humanitarian aid organization.
Ms. Huynh also worked in Dhaka, Bangladesh as a management fellow to the CEO at Praava Health, a vertically integrated outpatient healthcare company. At Praava, Ms. Huynh convened leadership to develop mid-term sales strategy, revamp patient satisfaction measures, and model detailed laboratory costs to recommend lab test price changes.
Ms. Huynh holds a BBA in business honors, focused on supply chain management, and a BA in plan II honors from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a native speaker in English and speaks some Cantonese and Vietnamese.
