Redante Asuncion-Reed is a digital communications professional with over 13 years of experience. He has worked in web teams for organizations in the Washington, DC Metro area since 2006. Mr. Asuncion-Reed has advanced hands-on proficiency with content management systems, HTML and CSS coding, analytics, email marketing, social media, and design software.
At R4D, his primary roles are to manage the R4D website; develop and implement strategies to help R4D meet its digital goals; advise other R4D teams on the creation of digital platforms and products; execute R4D’s email marketing program; track and analyze web traffic trends to make recommendations for site improvements and measure effectiveness; and lead R4D’s Digital Platform Community of Practice.
Mr. Asuncion-Reed is a veteran of six website redesigns. Among these projects, he spearheaded the top-to-bottom overhaul and redesign of the website for the American Sociological Association, and led the site build from the ground of the IDELA website for Save the Children.
Before joining R4D, Mr. Asuncion-Reed most recently worked for a firm as a contractor for the National Institute of General Medical Sciences at the National Institutes of Health. Prior to that position, in addition to Save the Children and the American Sociological Association, he worked for the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American Association of Community Colleges and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Mr. Asuncion-Reed is active in online and DC-area communities for web design and development, content strategy, user experience, web content, and nonprofit communications. Outside of his work in digital technology, he enjoys spending time with family and playing blues guitar.
Mr. Asuncion-Reed holds a master’s degree in communications from American University and a BA in sociology from the University of Vermont. He is fluent in English and Tagalog.
