Reva Alperson

Senior Program Associate

Reva Alperson is an international development professional with experience implementing and evaluating health and capacity-building programs in low-resource settings. Her areas of interest include health systems strengthening, health financing, universal health coverage, and community health.

At Results for Development (R4D), Ms. Alperson provides technical and operational support for projects promoting countries’ progress toward universal health coverage through health systems strengthening and health financing reform. She currently works on the Accelerator’s rehabilitation activity, focusing on scaling up health financing for rehabilitation services and technologies and integration of rehabilitation programs into broader health systems in low- and middle-income countries. Ms. Alperson also supports the Accelerator’s Safe Blood activity in Malawi, which strengthens national blood systems through improved needs estimation, sustainable funding, and robust data collection on blood use.

Before joining R4D, Ms. Alperson held multiple positions with international NGOs dedicated to improving health and economic outcomes through systemic change powered by local actors. She helped coordinate global programs supporting youth advocacy to combat gender inequality and capacity-building for refugee-led organizations in Africa and Asia.

Ms. Alperson holds a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University and a BS in human and organizational development from Vanderbilt University. She is a native speaker of English and is conversational in Spanish.
