Alexander McCall (he, him, his) is a writer and editor with a decade of experience shaping news and culture coverage, building and engaging digital audiences and producing radio and podcasts.
He is the senior content manager at Results for Development (R4D), where he edits the organization’s blog, develops content for its social media channels and contributes to its e-newsletters.
Alexander was part of the original editorial teams of the hit National Public Radio (NPR) podcasts Embedded, How I Built This and It’s Been a Minute. He also produced and edited stories for the organization’s flagship newsmagazines, All Things Considered, Morning Edition and Weekend Edition.
Before joining R4D, Alexander was a product manager for CNN, where he led audience growth and engagement for the news organization’s expanding slate of podcasts; prior to his tenure at CNN, Alexander was a producer and editor for WAMU 88.5 FM – American University Radio and NPR in Washington, D.C.
He currently leads a team of cyclists for AIDS/LifeCycle, an annual, 550-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles that raises funds for life-saving health services and HIV/AIDS research.
Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Appalachian State University. He is a native speaker of English and is currently practicing Spanish.
