Program Officer

Enoch Kwame Amu (he/him/his) is an accomplished education specialist and development professional with over 15 years of experience managing literacy and learning programs across Ghana. His expertise encompasses project management, monitoring & evaluation, education in emergencies and strategic community engagement.

Enoch is an Education program officer at Results for Development (R4D), where he provides technical expertise, project management and coordination support for the USAID/Ghana Advancing Partnerships for Improved Learning (APIL) project. His key responsibilities include developing data collection instruments, conducting stakeholder consultations, developing capacity building plans, and facilitating policy improvement efforts. He also engages in stakeholder management building relationships with government agencies, local education authorities and other key players in the education sector.

Throughout his career, Enoch has led and supported the successful implementation of numerous education initiatives for rural and underserved communities in Ghana. This includes World Vision’s Unlock Literacy and Learning Roots projects, which helped improve children’s reading competencies from 5% to over 40% in 2021. He also managed a $3 million research grant focused on scaling literacy interventions.

Before joining R4D, Enoch worked with World Vision Ghana leading the implementation of early childhood and early grade education interventions. He worked alongside government and community stakeholders to support improved learning outcomes. He is passionate about continuing to drive impactful education projects across Ghana.

Enoch holds a master’s degree in educational administration and management from the University of Education, Winneba in Ghana. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in basic education and a diploma in basic education.
