Senior Program Officer

Leenisha Marks is an international mixed methods researcher and PMP®-certified project manager with over 8 years of experience. Ms. Marks specializes in the design and implementation of international face-to-face household surveys, mobile phone surveys and cognitive interviews.

Ms. Marks is a senior program officer at Results for Development (R4D), where she supports the Frequent Assessments and System Tools for Resilience (FASTR) portfolio in Nigeria and Ghana. She also serves as the FASTR survey coordinator, managing the day-to-day operations for the Health Facility surveys in Anglophone countries in the portfolio.

Before joining R4D, Ms. Marks was a research survey scientist at RTI International, where she managed quantitative and qualitative social science research projects for clients in the technology, non-profit and commercial sectors in over 25 countries across sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe. Additionally, she served as a project manager for the USAID Act | East survey team, where she led the development and maintenance of training tools, standard survey materials and other standard operating procedures, conducted training on data collection procedures to in-country partners and liaised with in-country and project teams to plan, implement and monitor data collection activities.

Ms. Marks holds a masters degree in public health with a concentration in international development from the University of Sheffield (England) and a bachelor of arts degree in biology and child and family studies from Berea College.
