Sheyi Eko has over 20 years extensive experience supporting nonprofit organizations, with expertise in budget development and forecasting, financial analysis and reporting and working with program teams on implementation in many countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
At Results for Development (R4D), Ms. Eko is the senior director of grants administration, with a focus on building a lasting working relationship with program staff, providing support for budgeting and forecasting and financial analysis for program implementation.
Before joining R4D, Ms. Eko worked at the International County Management Association in Washington, DC where she standardized the financial reporting tools used by program staff and trained all field office staff on finance processes and procedures and the rules and regulations for successful project implementation. She successfully integrated the accounting system used in the field with the system used at the home office, drastically reducing data entry needs. Prior to that, she was at AED, which is now FHI 360.
Ms. Eko is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She has a master’s degree in business management from Emerson College in Boston, MA and a BBA from the European University in Belgium. She is a native English speaker and speaks fluent Yoruba.
