Emma Satzger is a global health professional with several years of experience in nonprofit and organizational operations, focusing on knowledge management, data management and utilization and process improvement.
As a senior program operations officer, Ms. Satzger provides operational and project management support to elevate the internal functioning across several health and nutrition projects. She serves as the liaison between programmatic and shared services teams; oversees budget creation and management; and oversees elements of compliance, procurement, and partner management.
Before joining R4D, Ms. Satzger worked with a small Tanzanian research-focused start-up, where she contributed to the strategic thought leadership of the organization and created operational systems to expand and improve day-to-day functioning.
Ms. Satzger also previously worked on the business development team at PATH, where she worked in creating and maintaining data and data reporting systems, landscaping and proposal development toolkits, and knowledge management, feedback analysis and archiving protocols. She helped design and formalize a best practices toolkit aimed at strengthening and improving proposal development activities for the organization. She also helped develop data reporting and visualization tools to improve data-based decision-making at all levels.
Ms. Satzger holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BARSC) degree from the University of South Carolina. She is a native English speaker and is working to maintain her Kiswahili.
