Amelia Kinter is a program director with more than ten years of experience supporting global health programs across Africa and Asia. She supports programs in a financial, operational, and technical capacity.
At Results for Development (R4D), Ms. Kinter supports several different health portfolio projects providing backbone operational and programmatic support. She recently served as the operations program director for the African Collaborative for Health Financing Solutions (ACS) project where she collaborated with the cross-cutting team to link to the country teams and program activities. She provides financial and operational oversight and contributes to partner management and donor compliance.
Before joining R4D, Ms. Kinter worked at PATH for nearly eight years providing technical, financial, and operational support across numerous health programs including the MQSUN project, Global Campaign for Microbicides, MCSP and the U.N. Coalition for Life Saving Commodities. She also supported the Challenge TB project as PATH’s project officer and provided technical and operational support to the Malaria in Pregnancy pilot project.
Ms. Kinter launched her career in global health supporting the government of Kenya develop the baseline data for their Trachoma Awareness campaign. Following this experience, she was a Global Health Fellows intern with the USAID TB team.
Ms. Kinter holds master’s degrees in social work and in public health, both focusing on global health and health management, from Washington University in St. Louis.
