Brighid Morgan is a global health professional with several years of experience working with stakeholders to increase access to health and nutrition commodities and interventions in low- and middle-income countries.
As a program officer with R4D’s market-shaping practice, Ms. Morgan provides technical and programmatic support to the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) project and the Market Shaping for Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS) for Antenatal Care project to increase access to lifesaving MNCH medicines and MMS in Sub-Saharan Africa. Within her role, she leads core work activities, working with global and country stakeholders to diagnose key market challenges and develop sustainable solutions.
Before joining R4D, Ms. Morgan conducted qualitative research in The Gambia for her master’s dissertation and wrote a health policy report on crop diversification as a public health nutrition intervention. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a drug discovery researcher at a biotech start-up, where she contributed to projects on novel therapeutics for cancers and autoimmune diseases.
Ms. Morgan holds an MSc in public health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BS in integrative neuroscience with a minor in peace and justice studies from Fordham University.
