Elizabeth Ohadi

Program Director

Elizabeth Ohadi is a global health professional with over 10 years of experience working in low- and middle-income countries on health financing and health systems strengthening. Her work has primarily focused on improving the financial sustainability and efficiency of health programming.

At Results for Development, Ms. Ohadi is a program director for the Gavi Learning Network for Countries in Transition (LNCT), a network that brings countries transitioning away from Gavi support together with their peers and technical experts to address challenges that could impede a successful transition. In this role, she supports overall program management and LNCT’s work to improve the financial sustainability of transitioning countries.

Prior to joining R4D, Ms. Ohadi was a health systems and finance specialist at RTI International where she worked at the nexus of health financing and governance, strengthening public financial management systems, improving social accountability and applying political economy analysis to improve efficiency and mobilize resources for health.  Ms. Ohadi was also a senior analyst at Abt Associates where she provided health financing and health systems strengthening technical assistance on the USAID-funded Health Finance and Governance, Health Systems 20/20 and CapacityPlus projects. In this position, Ms. Ohadi supported the countries of Namibia, eSwatini (formerly called Swaziland) and Botswana as their HIV programs transitioned from donor to domestic funding.

She also worked for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia.

Ms. Ohadi holds an MPA with a specialization in public policy analysis and a BA in political science, both from the University of Georgia.
