Judith Mboya

Program Director, Mixed Health Systems

Judith Mboya is a program director within R4D’s Mixed Health Systems practice and a technical advisor on the Frontier Health Markets Engage (FHME) project where she seeks to optimize engagement between public and private market actors through a market development approach (MDA). The MDA approach addresses the root causes of market inefficiencies that limit the ability of the private sector to deliver quality, affordable and appropriate health information, products and services.

Prior to R4D, Judith worked at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) as the head of sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) market growth. There, she supported the SRHR team’s ambition to strengthen self care through the introduction and scaling of user-centered products and technologies. Prior to working at CIFF, Judith worked at Population Services International (PSI) and supported the development and launch of VIYA, an innovative platform to deliver sexual and reproductive health information, products and services to women.

Before joining the development sector, Judith worked in pharmaceutical sales, marketing and business strategy at GlaxoSmithKline and Novo Nordisk. She began her career working as a government pharmacist in rural Kenya.
