Katie Fly is a digital communications and marketing professional with over twelve years of experience helping purpose-driven businesses and organizations increase their impact through greater visibility online.
At Results for Development, Katie manages the R4D website, publishing new content and optimizing existing pages. She produces R4D’s external newsletters including R4D Insights, Nutrition in Focus and Education in Focus. She also provides digital communications support to projects and teams across the organization as needed.
Prior to joining R4D, Katie was the content director for a digital marketing agency specializing in search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-call advertising (PPC), email, social media and content marketing. She partnered with behavioral health care providers on campaigns to raise awareness of effective treatment for mental health and substance use disorders and reduce stigma around seeking treatment. She led a team that produced thousands of articles and used content as the foundation of a robust SEO strategy successfully positioning her clients as the go to experts in their respective fields.
Prior to that, Katie was the owner operator of a busy acupuncture practice. As a business owner, she developed marketing savvy as she built multiple websites, wrote and maintained an active blog, managed Google Ads, created email campaigns and promoted her business on social media.
Katie has a bachelor of arts degree in international studies from Appalachian State University. She also holds a master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine.
