Senior Assistant, People & Culture

Mio Yoshizaki is a human resources professional with experience working in a variety of nonprofit organizations in the fields including research, advocacy and arts administration.

As senior assistant, people & culture at Results for Development (R4D), Mio manages a broad range of HR tasks, including onboarding, offboarding, scheduling and administrative duties. She was previously a human capital intern at R4D where she supported recruitment and HR teams. In her current role, Mio is passionate about fostering a supportive workplace culture to ensure every team member feels valued and empowered.

Before joining R4D, Mio held multiple roles and contributed to universities and nonprofit organizations. As a research assistant at universities, she facilitated research projects and led discussions and lectures on gender and race issues. At Students United, a student advocacy organization, Mio played a key role in implementing a community outreach strategy and social media promotions.

Mio holds a MA and a BS in gender and women’s studies and a BFA in dance from Minnesota State University. She speaks Japanese and English.
