Mohammed Omale has more than 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial management, budget management and tracking, office administration, and operations with non-governmental organizations (NGO) in Nigeria.
At Results for Development (R4D), he is responsible for all aspects of financial management and control, and general office administration at the R4D Nigeria country office. He works closely with the country director, country program team and the finance team at HQ in Washington, DC, to develop and strengthen financial management and administration practices in line with R4D and donor organizational policies and procedures, and in compliance with relevant laws of Nigeria.
Prior to R4D, Mr. Omale worked as finance and administration officer with local NGOs where he tracked and monitored operational activities and financial management, investigated project variance, and submitted reports to management. He also ensured accurate and timely transactions are properly recorded in QuickBooks for vendors and other activities.
Mr. Omale holds a master’s degree in health economics, a bachelor’s of science in accounting, and a diploma in accounting and auditing, all from Bayero University, Kano. He is a native speaker of Igala and is fluent in English.
