Oluwapelumi Adeyera

Oluwapelumi Adeyera is an international development professional with over nine years of experience in research, evaluation, advisory work and program design. Past projects have been within the area of nutrition, health, gender-based violence, education and sexual and reproductive health in Africa.

At Results for Development (R4D), Ms. Adeyera works within the nutrition practice on the sustainable financing for nutrition project in Nigeria. She also supports the World Bank’s ANRIN peer learning collaborative and the DATADENT 2.0 project.

Before becoming an R4D fellow, Ms. Adeyera worked as a consultant on the nutrition resource tracking project and DATADENT 1.0 project. She has worked as an independent consultant consulting for bilateral agencies, international NGOs, and public and private sector clients. She led an intervention adaptation, research, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) project for Tearfund South-Sudan an early marriage and girls’ education project. In this role, she led the design and randomized evaluation of a project which significantly improved girls’ education in the hard-to-reach areas of South-Sudan. She also collaborated with the United Nations University-International Institute of Global Health (UNU-IIGH) to set a research agenda for gender and Covid-19, collaborating with a global team. In her past roles, Ms. Adeyera has produced over seven publications in peer-reviewed high-impact international journals and presented at various international conferences.

Ms. Adeyera holds a B.Sc from Obafemi Awolowo University and an MPH from University of Ibadan. She is fluent in English, Yoruba and basic French.
