November 24, 2019, 11:15 AM – 1:00 PM Potomac D (Ballroom Level)
Pneumonia remains the leading infectious killer of children under five years in the world and therefore improving case management of pneumonia is a key component in achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.2, which requires all countries to reduce their Child Mortality Rates to, “at least 25 deaths per 1,000 live births” by 2030. Among other speakers, R4D Senior Program Director Cammie Lee shared results from a study measuring pediatric pneumonia diagnosis rates in Tanzania.
