Cities are Feedback Pioneers: Building Social Accountability Through Closing Feedback Loops

Join the Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) at the 2017 Global Partners Forum for a session, “Cities are Feedback Pioneers: Building Social Accountability Through Closing Feedback Loops.”

Themes:

  • Feedback loops need to be closed – that is, decision-makers need to not only hear but also respond to the feedback they hear, and let people know how they’ve responded
  • Feedback is also more powerful when it is an ongoing, two-way conversation between regular people and experts
  • Cities are pioneering new ways to have that conversation, moving beyond just providing information to citizens
  • How are they doing that? What are the factors for success? What challenges remain?

Moderator: Megan Campbell, Senior Manager of Research at Feedback Labs

Panelists:

  • Nathaniel Heller, OGP Steering Committee member & executive vice president for integrated strategies at Results for Development
  • Marisa Miodosky, Chief of Cabinet of the Undersecretary for Strategic Management and Institutional Quality, Buenos Aires City Government
  • Maria Soledad Gattoni, IRM researcher for Buenos Aires
