Join a learning event to discuss how civil society actors can respond to growing restrictions on democratic freedoms. The event is the culmination of five years of the INSPIRES project, featuring research results and learning on actionable evidence on strategies that can be utilized to protect and enhance civic space around the world.
The event will feature presentations from consortium partners Internews, ICNL, DevLab, PartnersGlobal, and Results for Development, as well as partners and civic space leaders at USAID and in the countries in which INSPIRES worked. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from the project as well as share their own insights and experiences in interactive sessions.

- 10:30 am: “What now? Using learnings from INSPIRES and our experience in the last five years” (Internews)

With civic space shifting rapidly around the globe, the INSPIRES project (Illuminating New Solutions and Programmatic Innovations for Resilient Spaces) has designed, tested, and implemented innovative interventions to bolster local civil societies. Since its inception in 2018, INSPIRES has provided support to more than 50 countries and reached thousands of civil society actors with information and programming to improve civic freedoms.
