Colleagues from R4D and other organizations convened on January 28, 2021 for “Public-Private Engagement for Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health: Unpacking Helping and Hindering Factors.” The session centered on the public-private ecosystem framework and its application in India and Kenya. Among the topics discussed were good practices for leading a structured and systematic process for approaching cross-sectoral partnerships for maternal, child and adolescent health. R4D’s technical experts provided an overview of the public-private ecosystem and moderate a discussion between local partner organizations in Kenya and India who worked to apply and facilitate engagement processes in their countries. The event offered a fascinating opportunity for the experts across countries to be in the same “room” at the same time, sharing experiences and applications of the project’s work and knowledge products in different contexts.
