Despite commitments to UHC, progress remains elusive in many countries. To address this problem, countries are introducing reforms to reinforce health systems to meet health system objectives and adapt to emerging demands.
This webinar launches the Health Systems and Reform special issue on “Objective-Oriented Health Systems Reform: Implications for Moving Towards Universal Health Coverage,” that brings together 50 authors from 12 countries to share their analyses and perspectives on health reforms in Latin America, Africa and Asia. The entry point for many of these reform was through health financing. Several of the papers describe why and how health financing reforms were implemented to address the diagnosed causes of health system underperformance on identified objectives, highlighting important positive and negative lessons.
Join us to hear from policymakers, researchers and practitioners on what it takes to design and implement health systems reform to meet objectives.
