The Tanzania Health Summit is the largest annual healthcare conference in Tanzania, drawing hundreds of in-person and virtual attendees from the country’s health care ecosystem to focus on progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
R4D’s Pili Mmbaga will be presenting on “Addressing Child Health Inequities through Sustainable Financing.” Her presentation will examine barriers in Tanzania that prevent equitable access to life-saving pneumonia treatment and investigate potential solutions that can help expand access to Amox DT. Ms. Mmbaga will also share an update on the commitments made by the Government of Tanzania for increased investment in sustainable health financing that should increase Tanzanians’ access to health care and enable the country to better weather unexpected shocks like the Covid pandemic.
