In collaboration with kupara consulting and with funding from the Gates Foundation, Results for Development (R4D) has developed an interactive, customizable tool designed to support the costing of national and sub-national multiple micronutrient supplements (MMS) introduction and scale-up roadmaps. The Excel-based tool features a user-friendly interface that assists stakeholders in estimating the costs of all activities necessary for a successful transition from iron folic acid (IFA) to MMS. The tool prompts users to cost activities across various implementation categories such as product procurement, demand generation, and advocacy and coordination. The MMS Roadmap Costing Tool has been tested with stakeholders developing scale-up roadmaps in Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Pakistan. R4D hopes this tool will be useful to stakeholders, implementing partners, and governments developing MMS introduction and scale-up roadmaps in any country.
