Lola Adedokun
Results for Development (R4D) Board Member Lola Adedokun’s sudden and tragic passing on October 16, 2024 is felt deeply at Results for Development and across our entire field. We’re heartbroken to have lost such a young, vibrant and talented colleague and friend.
Lola joined the R4D Board in 2023 and served as the Chair of our Nominations and Governance Committee. She was a highly engaged leader who generously offered her counsel and support to the R4D team.
Since 2021, Lola served as the executive director of the Aspen Global Innovators Group at the Aspen Institute and co-chair of the Aspen Institute Forum on Women and Girls. Prior to that, she led the African Health Initiative at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation for 14 years. She was deeply committed to her work to achieve equity for marginalized people throughout the world. And she had a very broad network of collaborators and friends in the field. We know she will be missed by many, and we offer our heartfelt condolences to her friends and family.
