Strengthening Mixed Health Systems: Building the case and pathways for quality private care

On May 10, 2021, colleagues from Results for Development, Insight Health Advisors in Kenya and ACCESS Health International in India convened for a dynamic discussion centering on new practical and actionable learning on how to strengthen public-private engagements to support universal health coverage. The webinar shared learnings on public-private engagement outcomes, factors influencing an engagement’s success, and facilitation approaches used in Kenya and India. The discussion included the launch of a range of tools and resources that can be used by health system practitioners and stakeholders to improve public-private engagements across a variety of contexts. The webinar also included a discussion on the future of such engagements for UHC, and how these learnings can be translated by implementers around the globe.

This program is supported by funding from Merck, through Merck for Mothers, the company’s $500 million initiative to help create a world where no woman dies giving life. Merck for Mothers is known as MSD for Mothers outside the United States and Canada.
